Jim Dow

Sadly, our colleague Jim passed away in the early hours of Thursday 4th March after a short illness. Jim was a good friend, colleague and exceptional journalist.

In brief, Jim worked on newspapers in Britain and abroad for many years prior to moving into public relations, indeed he was business editor of The Scotsman for many years. He helped found Financial Marketing Scotland and then with colleagues Andy and Craig, started Lacuna (he thought of the name, of course). A prolific writer, Jim's love for the written word never wained. He wrote for numerous magazine's, published two books and launched compropscotland.com as well as establishing his own blog.

Jim had a heart of gold. He was dedicated famiy man, a traditional journalist - all about the story - and we will miss him terribly.
